Additionally, we are often retained to provide executive oversight of a program management office to facilitate mergers, including all pre and post planning, board governance, enterprise risk management, communications oversight, valuation and financial oversight, business case development, and operational planning.

Governance and Strategic Communication

We help credit union CEOs to work effectively with their boards.  We provide an independent business perspective on the strategic and business impact of their current and proposed initiatives. We lay the operating principles that guide the growth they seek to bring on new partners or reconfigure the current partner structures.

We develop a common language for governance that will enable CEOs and the CU boards to fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities.  We provided timely, constructive and expert consultation that helps build the team’s leadership agility and responsiveness to the CEO. We provide guidance to CEO that enables them to focus on communication of more strategic aspects of their initiatives to their Boards  We assist CEOs who are under pressure by providing them with strategic communications and knowledge they can provide to their Boards, to show that all parties are meeting their fiduciary requirements of oversight.

Our governance programs include the following:

Alignment

Serve as facilitator and gatekeeper for the CEO partner alignment process. We facilitate discussions at the most senior level of strategic issues that are fundamental to the success of the project. Our work results in better agreement among the partner CEOs and a common ground for them to move forward together and make informed business decisions.

Alignment successes includes but is not limited to: return and definition of value required by each partner, location decision criteria, implications of pilot vs. phase one of implementation, scope, cost reimbursement model considerations, achieving standardization and sameness before and after implementation, criteria for migrating functions, timing of key decision and their respective implications, the Credit Unions, the investment triggers and the delivery of savings.  We drive the process of establishing the enterprise risk management framework and continue to drive for common understanding of most significant risks facing the project.
